NYCLU Investigator opening - New York

Apr 7, 2017

The New York Civil Liberties Union ("NYCLU") is looking for a new investigator.

The NYCLU is the New York chapter of the ACLU and focuses on civil rights litigation, legislative advocacy, and public education campaigns that relate to New York state and local practices. NYCLU's priorities span the gamut of public interest matters, including, but not limited to, criminal justice and police reform work, digital privacy advocacy, bolstering reproductive health protections, and a dedication to Gender and Sexual Minority ("GSM") inclusion in various venues, such as schools and carceral settings.

The investigator's chief job function combines in-depth interview work with semi-scholarly, open source research to inform various aspects of NYCLU's work portfolio. NYCLU's investigator will work within the litigation department under the supervision of various attorneys, but will support efforts by the entire office to protect the rights of all New Yorkers.
