NSA is not the only one tracking your client's cell phone (and yours)...

As defense investigators, we all are (or should be) very well aware of cell phone tracking & cell phone data as it relates to our client' whereabouts and the methods the prosecutors use the data to the government's advantage.  In most circumstances the defense has to go through the proper legal channels in order to obtain the cell phone data and then we need to accurately complete the historical data re-construction of the information received from the carrier to fully understand the cell data.  It seems the govenment does not have to go through the same pesky process or in fact have to reveal their methods when compelled to do so by a Judge.
